With its compact modular design and high performance, the SIMATIC S7-1200 is suitable for a multitude of automation applications, while being very cost effective. Its extensive instruction set enables the SIMATIC S7-1200 to solve small to medium-sized automation applications.
A big step forward from the S7-200, the SIMATIC S7-1200 is the new modular micro PLC in the SIMATIC S7 programmable controller family and comprises:
- Integral Ethernet interface for programming, HMI or communicating with other controllers
- Signal Boards for direct insertion into a controller
- Signal Modules for expansion of the controller with input and output channels
- Communication Modules for expansion of the controller with communication interfaces, including Profibus-DP Master, Modbus RTU
- Accessories, such as Power Supplies, Switch Modules or Memory Cards
